I recommend all parent carers of profoundly disabled adults on income support who care up to 168 hours a week to retire at 60. No one deserves to retire at 60 more than a carer. After a lifetime of caring. A lifetime of fighting for everything from equipment, incontinence pads and help of any description. This may upset the Government and the Councils but I am running this website for you the carers not Councils. This would cost the Government and the councils over 50 billion pounds a year. Millions of disabled people are living in fear that their benefits are going to be reduced or stopped to help pay for a situation caused by millionaire bankers. At 60 give the Council the responsibility of looking after your disabled adult on income support who needs round the clock care. Caring is voluntary there is no compulsion to care, you care for nothing you care when you are sick, working every hour God sends. When you use Full Time Care the Council will not tell you this but by law the care is provide free. No more fighting for services no more begging for equipment everything in full time care is provided free. You will not have to care till you drop you deserve those years to enjoy life. You can start to have a life. People are dying in poverty carers are living in it.
The government are to blame for setting Councils unworkable financial targets to collect of the disabled for Council services. They can only be achieved by Councils breaching Community Care Law on charges from disabled adults in receipt of income support. The Government won’t listen. The Councils won’t listen. Carers using full time care will make them listen. Carers retiring from caring at 60 for their own Health and Wellbeing will make them listen. Carers have rights and they will use them and using Full Time Care is one of them. This could cost the Country 50 billion pounds a year
Because of the excessive charges by councils to carers of disabled adults recently over £5,000,000 worth of Full Time Care has been applied for if this continues to escalate it could soon be a billion carers have been pushed to the limit many into poverty. Until the Government pass legislation backed by nationwidecarers Mencap and Carers UK all linked to our website. That all disabled adults in receipt of income support should be excempt from all Council Community Care charges and until all Councils stop breaching Community Care Law on three counts. The Government have stopped new carers of profoundly disabled adults getting Independent Living Fund help.
The Government could cancel for existing carers on Independent Living Fund help in 2015. Those 22,000 carers and the carers refused ILF help should immediately take up full time care. ILF HELP FOR CARERS BEING STOPPED COULD LEAD TO 2.2 BILLION POUNDS OF FULL TIME CARE BEING APPLIED FOR.
Councils charge day centre meals of up to £4 – 20 to disabled adults on income support you can eat out for less with enough money left to pay a tip. School meals are only £2. Most workers can’t afford £4 – 20 for a meal. ROTHERHAM MBC CHARGE £4 – 20p PER MEAL THE DEAREST COUNCIL IN THE COUNTRY Those disabled adults only get £78 per week to live on.
January 1st 2011 vat up to 20% increases caring costs up by £6 a week plus more Council cuts their is no incentive to care at home.
Council charges brings the disabled adults income below basic benefit + income support + a buffer of 25%.
Councils unlawfully expect carers to pay respite care charges when their disabled adults INCOME SUPPORT benefits are used up.
The Government are trying to stop paying disabled adults Mobility Allowance when they go into full time care.
The Government in 2013 want to replace DLA with a Personal Disability Payment and make savings on the benefit of 20% THIS WILL LEAD TO MASS FULL TIME CARE
Councils every year strip more and more of their benefits, more cuts this coming year, resulting in more and more using full time care.
Councils unlawfully charge transport to day centres when the disabled adults mobility benefit is used up on a mobility vehicle. Then the carer is compelled to pay This is unlawful DO NOT PAY TELL THE COUNCIL NO CHARGE OR FULL TIME CARE
The Government are going to increase the charge disabled adults have to pay to get a blue badge by 400% from £2 – 50 to £10. The charges are never ending. Retire from caring at 60. COST TO COUNCILS 50 BILLION POUNDS A YEAR
Councils have started to only collect yellow bag bodily waste of faeces urine blood and sick every 14 days leaving you to face the stench on your property refuse to put up with it use Full Time Care they are turning your property into a dumpit site for sewage. GIVE COUNCILS AN ULTIMATUM WEEKLY COLLECTIONS OR FULL TIME CARE
Councils need up to £3500 to provide full time care. Carers get a pittance of £200. This is only 6%. Then they expect carers to pay unlawful Community Care Charges out of it. Inform us of anymore cuts the Councils make this coming year to the disabled and we will highlight them. Give your Council an ultimatum in writing either withdraw the respite and Community Care Charges that you cannot afford to pay or provide Full Time Care for your disabled adult. Full time care provide holidays for your disabled adults So you at 60 can have a holiday you may not have had one for years without caring. Instead of you doing the financial worrying the Council must provide the full time care the council must provide the funding. When a few thousand take up this option councils will then stop treating carers as second class citizens,
-Councils refuse to listen the Government refuse to listen to the needs of parent carers on Community Care Law that is being breached by every Council in the Country. Retire at 60 and stop carers propping up the economy to the tune of 119 billion a year. Let us get this 119 billion we save the Country down billions Then the Government and Councils will be forced to treat carers with dignity and respect and not as second class citizens
One reason why carers should retire at 60 while they are still fit and well. If a single carer giving a 168 hours a week care who owns his own house unfortunately gets injured moving their disabled adult and requires full time care themselves the disabled adult will go into full time care and the injured carer will be assessed by the Council and the Council would take the house to finance the carers care. No consideration would be taken that they had been a carer. Ask the Council if this is correct?
This website hopes to end the injustices endured by carers of our most vulnerable adults to stop Community Care Law being abused by the Councils and the Government allowing them to get away with it so they can hit those idiotic targets they have set the Council to collect. Disabled adults who can be violent can cost up to £4000 a week in care Never before has it happened but should the Council dare to try to take a profoundly disabled adult and carer to court for not paying those unlawful charges that would cause a public outcry take your disabled adult with a packed suitcase straight to the offices and leave them for the attention of the Strategic Director or your Councils Chief Executive It would only take 10 disabled adults put into care to cost your Council a million pounds a year. Councils could not find a Community Care Lawyer to take a disabled adult and their carer to court. It is the councils who are the law breakers
